Like with any subjective list there is the possibility that people will question why a certain artist was selected or omitted, and since it’s inception the Freshman Class cover is no exception.

Last year Azealia Banks was left off the cover and she took issue with fellow femcee Iggy Azalea being chosen saying that Iggy’s “runaway slave master” reference in one of her lyrics should have prevented her from appearing on the magazine.

EPIPHANY

I am hair Stylist with 10+ years of experience in the field, radio personality, and at one point I aspired to be an actress. I ventured off to explore what my new love for the entertainment and music industry could offer me behind the scenes. I ended up learning more about Public Relations and the role of a PR professional. I have experience with promotions, marketing, networking and consulting. My goal is to build a strong foundation, expand my knowledge and skills as a business professional, and expand my experience, talent, and respect as PR professional. As a freelance Publicist, I worked on campaigns to promote clients with more challenging budgeting needs. I am also a contributor to an up and coming online radio station were I handle marketing, public relations, advertising, creative direction, and contribute to advertising sales. I also take part in the production of shows as well as radio drops and commercial voice-overs. I want to earn the trust and respect of my clients and colleagues in the field by proving that I am capable of providing above average services. What I bring to the table is determination, motivation, and a strong will to succeed in any project that I take on. Failure is not an option and obstacles are only lessons that we learn to help conquer anything that may come in the way of achieving victory at the end of the day.

My advice is to never put limits on yourself, you can do and be who and what ever you put your mind to and work hard at doing. I love living life without limitations, and I love the fact that people who know me push me to follow my dreams. Where there is a question mark for you there is certainty for me. If I want to do it, I am going to do it, and if I fail, at least I know that I tried.
